Ross-on-Wye Men's Hockey Club (sponsored by SOUTH HEREFORD MOTORCARAVAN CENTRE LTD.) was formed in 1898. Membership is made up of a wide variation in ability and age.
  
The team play a number of friendlies throughout the entire year, as well as playing in the West of England and South Wales Hockey League (supported by N4 Financial Solutions).

Ross Men's Hockey Club became divisional champions of Hereford & Gloucester 2 in the 2007-08 season. Following this success a decision was made to add a 2nd XI team to the club, joining the league for the 2008-09 season. The club also promote a succesfull youth policy, with under 16, under 13 and under 11 teams. 

The club also arranges an annual tour to exotic and far off places, such as last years trip to the Torbay Hockey Festival (previous tours have been to tournaments in Brighton, Belgium, Ireland and Holland). This years tour was to Tenby for the Carew Hockey Summer Festival on the 1st / 2nd August 2009.

Training takes place on Monday evenings in Monmouth and Wednesday evenings in Ross, whilst club matches are generally on a Saturday afternoon. Youth matches take place on Sundays.
 
The aim of the club is to be competitive and yet to enjoy in a friendly atmosphere the game of hockey.
