2010 Summer Tour
Following last years successful tour, we will once again look at taking part in the CAREW HOCKEY CLUB 6 ASIDE HOCKEY FESTIVAL. This years Festival is taking place over the weekend of 31st July and 1st August 2010.
The cost is £30 per person, which includes; a Friday night disco with a welcome drink and slice of pizza, a framed team photo, a festival T-Shirt, packed lunches on Saturday and Sunday, a Pig Roast on Saturday evening, camping facilities Friday and Saturday nights (byo tent) and of course a weekend Festival of Hockey.
2009 SUMMER TOUR
This years tour was to the Carew 6’s Summer Hockey Festival.
This was a six a-side competition, with a maximum of 9 players per team, which took place on Saturday and Sunday the 1st and 2nd of August.
After a very wet start on Friday evening the tournament started with brighter skies on Saturday morning with Ross loosing their opening game 1 – 0.
As the weather improved so did Ross’s form as they went on to win the following four games.
After another entertaining night, Ross were up for it once again and ended the weekend on a high wining the remaining four games.
Every member of the ten man squad managed to score at least one goal, but special mention must be given to Tom and Jack for hitting the target most often.
It was a very successful festival on and off the pitch and Ross have every intention of attending next year and look forward to receiving the invite from Carew Hockey Club.
